Control system for electron accelerator (in Japanese)

Patent ·
OSTI ID:4427059
In an accelerator, an annular detecting coil is placed around the outer surface of a high-voltage cable through which an electron accelerator tube is connected to a dc high-voltage source. The intensity of the electron beam is measured by detecting the electrical current flowing through the high-voltage cable by means of the detecting coil. The signals are fed to a comparator. Output signals are generated from the comparator when the deviation from the preset standard value is detected and fed back to the device for heating the electron gun, thereby regulating the heating current flowing through the electron gun. The electron beam is controlled by the present control system. (JA)
