Unscheduled DNA synthesis and repair replication in uv-irradiated Chinese- hamster cells

Journal Article · · Arch. Int. Physiol. Biochim., v. 81, pp. 200-202
OSTI ID:4423030
Following ultraviolet irradiation of cultured hamster cells, the following observations were made: a low level of unscheduled DNA synthesis and repair replication; the increase of both phenomena after substitution with BUdR in the DNA; the unscheduled DNA synthesis and repair replication were quantitatively correlated; and the number of nucleotides inserted during the repair of one BUdR photo-product could be estimated.
