Irradiation of enriched /sup 160/Gd with 14.7 MeV neutrons was found to produce a new radioactivity with an average half-life of 52.8 plus or minus 10 sec, which was assigned to the decay of /sup 160/Eu. BETA - and gamma - radiations were studied by means of a Ge(Li) spectrometer and scintillation detectors and coincidence relations were established. Fifteen gamma rays and two beta rays were incorporated in a tentative decay scheme. (auth)
