The beta decay of /sup 157/Eu was investigated with a conventional scintillation spectrometer. Intense gamma rays were observed at energies of 65, 370, 410, and 620 kev with a haif life of 15h. Five weaker gamma rays were also found. Beta-ray groups with maximum energies of 1.35, 1.28, coincidence measurements. Decay energy is determined to be 1.35 Mev. From the analyses with the aid of Nilsson model, a tentative decay scheme of /sup 157/Eu is proposed. (auth)
