Comparison of the chromosome damage induced by radiation and cytoxan therapy in lymphocytes of patients with gynacological tumors

Journal Article · · Mutat. Res., v. 21, no. 5, pp. 271-274
OSTI ID:4414102
In peripheral lymphocytes, cytoxan therapy preferentially caused another type of chromosomal damage than radium-x-ray therapy. After cytoxan, open breaks with predominating aberrations of the chromatid-type accompanied by a great number of achromatic lesions were present. In contrast, after irradiation, a great number of rejoining processes occurred. The predominating aberrations were of the chromosome type. (auth)
