ABS>Translated from Zh. Tekh. Fiz.; 42: No. 10, 2105-2114(Oct 1972). The results of an experimental study of azimuthal symmetry are presented for a pulsed plasma injector with an electrode diameter ratio close to unity, with shaped gas injection, and prior ionization of the gas by an induction electric field. It is observed that current layers in the interelectrode space of the injector maintain azimuthal closure during the entire existence of the discharge, regardless of the gas distribution at the time the voltage is applied to the electrodes.
