Dual camera--dual isotope data acquisition system for nuclear medicine studies

Conference ·
OSTI ID:4412556
From 3rd symposium on sharing of computer programs and technology in nuclear medicine; Miami, Florida, USA (16 Jun 1973). In proceedings of third symposium on sharing of computer programs and technology in nuclear medicine. A dual camera-dual isotope data acquisition system has been made possible by the addition of a routing function to the standard Nuclear Data Med II computer camera interface unit. Up to four simultaneous images may be acquired in either frame or list mode. The finite magnetic disc write time implies that list mode data acquisition is the more attractive alternative. Studies have begun on cerebral blood flow, lung ventilation and perfusion, and the beating action of bronchial cilia using the two camera system. Optimal software is currently in preparation. (auth)
