Available from the Commission of European Communities, Luxembourg. Coating fuel particles are produced by the use---as a starting material--- of artefacts, i.e., spheroids consisting of UO/sub 2/F/sub 2/, which in a steam/ hydrogen atmosphere at about 700 deg C are transformed into UO/sub 2/ particles. These particles have a uniform porosity and can be coated in known manner to form coated-particle nuclear fuel. (EU)
