Translated from Prib. Tekh. Eksp.; 16: No. 3, 21-22(1973). In order to formulate the law governing the variation of the amplitude of the accelerating voltage in a synchrotron, the authors used a simple function generator based on the application of a nonlinear semiconductor resistor (varistor). The circuit ensures that the stipulated law will be obtained with an accuracy at worst plus or minus 2%. (auth)
