Translated from Prib. Tekh. Eksp.; 16: No. 4, 20-22(1973). An improved system for extracting gamma beams using the Erevan synchrotron is described. The half-sinusoid pulse in the windings of the extraction system is replaced by a pulse having a special shape. The circuit that shapes such a pulse is given and described. Production of gamma quanta with stretching to 2 msec is obtained which is uniform in intensity (with an accuracy plus or minus 10%). The particles are extracted symmetrically relative to the maximum of the guiding magnetic field. (auth)
