Investigation on radio-induced changes of N-acetyl-DL-valine (in German)

From Annual meeting of the Deutsche Gesellschaft fuer biophysik; Juelich, Germany (27 Sep 1973). Single crystals of N-acetyl-DL-valine of unknown structure, which were obtained from saturated solutions of H/sub 2/O and D/sub 2/ O by slow evaporation of the solution, were irradiated with xradiation with a dose of some 3 Mrad. The ESR spectra were taken in 2nd derivatives (flexion) at distances of 5 deg , the crystals turning around the three axes perpendicular to one another. The mechanism of the radiation-induced radical positions are discussed. (HK/LH) (GE)
