Distribution of labeled bleomycin in normal and tumor-bearing mice

The chemotherapeutic drug bleomycin has been labeled with /sup 57/Co, / sup 111/In, /sup 67/Ga, and /sup 59/Fe. Chromatographic analysis indicates that / sup 57/Co. /sup 111/In, and /sup 67/Ga label various bleomycin fractions. Distribution studies in Ehrlich carcinoma-bearing mice indicate that /sup 67/Ga- and /sup 111/In-bleomycin do not clear as rapidly from the blood and liver as / sup 57/Co-bleomycin and should be used with caution as a substitute for the /sup 57/Co compound.
