Results are reported of an experimental investigation of the temperature dependences of the thermal conductivities of the carbides TiC, ZrC, NbC, TaC, Cr/ sub 3/C/sub 2/, Mo/sub 2/C and WC and of the borides TiB/sub 2/, ZrB/sub 2/, VB/ sub 2/, CrB/sub 2/, Mo/sub 2/B/sub 5/, and W/ sub 2/B/sub 5/, in the temperature range 300 to 1200 deg K.
