JGC Corporation has been supplying various radioactive waste treatment technologies to utility companies over a period of many years. Among these technologies, the High Temperature Incineration (HTI) system is a unique and remarkable process in terms of its high volume-reduction, simplified process and economics for stabilizing miscellaneous solid radioactive wastes generated at nuclear power plants. Based on the successful operating data obtained at the company`s Oarai Nuclear Research Center, JGC offered its HTI system to Japanese utilities for both PWR and BWR plants as an effective waste treatment technology.
