Determination of ruthenium by a kinetic method by the reaction of oxidizing p-quinone with manganese(III) pyrophosphate (in Russian)

A kinetic method has been developed for determining ruthenium by the reaction of oxidizing p-quinone with manganese (III) pyrophosphate. The method enables determination down to 0.05 mu g/ml Ru (in 10 ml of the solution) in the analysis of its chloride compounds and down to 0.01 mu g/ml Ru (in 10 ml) in the analysis of its sulfate compounds. The error is not more than 17%. Cold, platinum, rhodium, and iridium compounds as well as sulfate palladium ones do not interfere. Chloride palladium compounds catalyze the reaction. (auth)
