T(d,n)He$sup 4$ REACTION

The differential cross sections for neutron production in the T(d,n)He/ sup 4/ reaction have been measured over the deuteron bombarding-energy range 0.25 to 7.0 Mev. Legendre polynomial fits to the data are presented and compared with existing data. The total cross section plotted as a function of deuteron energy has an anomalous behavior which may indicate a broad level in He/sup 5/ near 20- Mev excitation energy. (auth)
