AN INVESTIGATION OF SOME ($sup 3$He,d) REACTIONS IN THE NUCLEI AT 5.2 Mev

A broad range magnetic spectrograph was used to analyze the deuterons emitted from targets of B/sup 10/, B/sup 11/, Ni/sup 14/,and Al/sup 27/ bombarded with 5.2 Mev singly ionized He/sup 3/ particles. The angular distributions of a number of the deuteron groups were measured, and an attempt was made to fit them with the predictions of stripping theory. The absolute differential cross sections were compared with those of the corresponding (d,n) reactions. The published differential cross sections for some (d,t) and (p,d) reactions were similarly compared. (auth)
