THE REACTIONS D(d,n)He$sup 3$ AND D(d,p)T AT 25.3 Mev

Journal Article · · Nuclear Physics (Netherlands) Divided into Nucl. Phys. A and Nucl. Phys. B
The differential cross sections of the mirror reactions cident deuteron energy. The angular distributions of the two reactions are practically identical except possibly at very small angles. The D(d,n)He/sup 3/ cross section was fitted using the Butler Born-approximation stripping theory. This reaction was considered in terms of a general rearrangement collision formalism. A Legendre polynomial expansion of the reaction amplitudes was found, in which higher order expansion coefficients are obtained in the Born approximation while the lower order coefficients are treated as free parameters determined by fitting the experimental cross section.
