An electron microtron of the a = 3, b = l model has been built and its essential parts are described. Ten orbits have been obtained and the final energy of the particles is 2.5 Mev. The machine is at present without an extractor and therefore only gamma rays are available. The average intensity on the last orbits is some 10/sup -7/ A. (auth)
