Hot atom chemical studies on zirconium acetylacetonate by sublimation method

Journal Article · · Radiochem. Radioanal. Lett., v. 16, no. 6, pp. 373-380
OSTI ID:4347269
The acetylacetonate of Zr (Hf) was irradiated with thermal neutrons and the chemical effects were studied by applying the sublimation method. The retention values of /sup 95/Zr, /sup 97/Zr and /sup 181/Hf we re found nearly the same and similar to that of /sup 231/Th produced by the (n,2n) reaction of thorium acetylacetonate. Furthermore, it was found that the activity of niobium produced in the irradiated Zr acetylacetonate did not sublime. (auth)
