Radiochemical studies on uranyl acetylacetonate by sublimation method

The separation of /sup 234/Th from its parent /sup 238/U was successfully made by subliming the aged uranyl acetylacetonate. A large portion of /sup 234/Th (about 94% produced by the decay of /sup 238/U) remained in the residue. The fresh acetylacetonate of /sup 234/Th simultaneously prepared with uranylacetonate, sublimed at the temperature applied and was sublimatrographically separated from uranyl acetylacetonate. Furthermore, sublimation method was applied to study the behavior of /sup 239/U and /sup 239/ Np produced by the neutron irradiation of uranyl acetylacetonate. (auth)
