In order to determine a better tumor-specific scanning agent than /sup 67/Ga-citrate, a comparison of /sup 140/La, /sup 141/Ce, /sup 147/Nd, /sup 153/ Sm, /sup 152/Eu, Ehrlich's tumors and other organs in tumor-bearing mice was performed. A method for the simultaneous measurement of many radionuclides in organs was employed, using a Ge(Li) semiconductor detector. At 28 hr, /sup 67/ Ga, accumulation of /sup 152/Eu in tumor tissue was higher than that of /sup 67/ Ga, and the highest accumulation of all elements in bone was is /sup 152/Eu. At 48 hr, the accumulation of all the rare earths, especially is /sup 153/Sm and in the case of /sup 140/La. The accumulation of rare earths in liver, kidney, and bone was lower than that of /sup 67/Ga. except in the case of /sup 152/Eu. (UK) Tibiae of C/sub 3/H/Neu or 101/Neu mice, aged 16 days, were subcutaneously grafted to adult mice of the strain C/sub 3/H/Neu, aged 10 weeks. At 5 different intervals after grafting, part of the animals were injected i.p. with 0.5 mu Ci of /sup 55/Sr. Forty-eight hours post-injection the animals were sacrificed and the grafts as well as their own tibiae were measured for /sup 55/Sr radioactivity. In the case of allogeneic grafts, the uptake was continuously low during 32 days after transplantation, while the uptake in syngeneic grafts was low up to the 10th day after grafting. After l7 days, however, /sup 85/Sr uptake was higher than that of allogeneic ones. Ash weights of both groups of transplants were higher at the end of the experiment than at the time of grafting.
