The circulating pumps developed and constructed by Maschinenfabrik ANDRITZ AG for nuclear power stations with light and heavy water reactors are described, with a detailed account of the main coolant pumps for pressurized water reactors. A short description is presented of the development, construction, trial runs in the pilot plant and of the hydraulic design of these pumps. (auth)
