ACTION MECHANISM OF X RAYS ON TRYPSIN. MODIFICATION OF THE MICHAELIS CONSTANT (in French)

Irradiation of a solution of trypsin by x rays causes a lessening of the affinity of the enzyme for the substrate. This lessening is shown by an augmentation of the Michaelis constant. The hypothesis is suggested that the inactivation results from an alteration of the active reaction sites on the surfuce of the enzyme. (tr-auth)
