Late effects of gamma-irradiation of newborn mice. III. Chromosomal aberration in bone marrow (in Polish)

Journal Article · · Nukleonika, v. 18, no. 12, pp. 625-632
OSTI ID:4337920

Chromosomal aberrations in bone marrow of mice of both sexes irradiated with four doses of gamma rays: O R (control), 150 R, 300 R, and 450 R were studied four hundred days later. The yield of chromosomal breaks per metaphase and the percent of aneuploid cells increased with the dose of radiation. The number of polyploid cells was also significantly increased but the mean value of mitotic index in irradiated groups was significantly decreased. (auth)
