Influence of rutin on the rapid recovery of subcutis, after radiogenous changes in permeability following local irradiation (in German)

On a total of 935 white mice, under a variation of radiation dose, and under an application of weals of Chinese ink at the moment of irradiation, it was demonstrated by a suspension of soot that the radiogenous disturbance of permeability in the subcutaneous connective tissue quickly recovers in a measurable course. By the use of four different irradiation doses between 125 and 1,000 R, an early recovery of the permeability can be observed between 60 and 120 min after exposure, partly with high significance, with a halflife period 1.5 hrs for the radiation doses of 125 R, 250, and 500 R. Under a superficial dose of 1,000 R, an ascertained early recovery can not be seen within 180 min. The constant influence of rutin on the early recovery is astonishing; hereby the disturbed permeability in the first 30 min after irradiation already improves with statistical significance. This also is a mathematical proof that rutin diminishes the vascular permeability, increased by irradiation. (auth)
