THE ROLE OF RUTIN AND ATP FOR RADIATION PROTECTION OF THE LUNGS. EXPERIMENTAL STUDIES WITH RATS (in German)

Thesis/Dissertation ·
OSTI ID:4016247

Radiation effects in rat lungs after irradiation with 2000 r, /sup 60/Co gamma rays are studied. The first reaction, which was roentgenologically detectable, was observed 31 days after irradiation. All animals were sacrificed after 45 days. Results of histological studies of lung tissue are given. Protective action of rutin and ATP is investigated. Results indicate a marked protective effect of rutine for lung tissue. No action of ATP was observed. (Gmelin Inst.)
