In topical conference on atomic and molecular studies at ORNL, Oak Ridge, Tennessee, March 22-23, 1973. Interactions of 15- to 60-MeV /sup 127/I ions with solid and gaseous media were extensively studied with a view of elucidating the nature of the collisions in the media and the states of the penetrating ion. These studies include charge changing collisions, charge equilibria, x-ray generation, and electron production. (JFP)
