In topical conference on atomic and molecular studies at ORNL, Oak Ridge, Tennessee, March 22-23, 1973. An energy distribution obtained from a time-of-flight measurement for O/sup +/ ions produced by impact of 50-eV electrons on O/sub 2/ and angular distribution of the ion energy groups are shown. These results shed light on the dissociating states of the O/sup +/ ion and also are important to the radiation chemistry of O/sub 2/. (JFP)
