PHOTONEUTRON REACTIONS IN N, O, F, Cu, Ag, AND In
Using an energy scale based on an electrical "zero" and the ( gamma ,n) thresholds of F/sup 19/, N/sup 14/, and C/sup 12/, five ( gamma ,n) thresholds were measured: Ag/sup 109/ 9.14 plus or minus 0.05 Mev; Ag/sup 107/ to 24-min Ag/sup 106/ 9.43 plus or minus 0.05; Cu/sup 65/ 9.89 plus or minus 0.11; Cu/ sup 63/ 10.80 plus or minus 0.04; and In/sup 115/ to 49-day In/sup 114m/, 9.22 plus or minus 0.10 Breaks, interpreted to be levels in the initial nucleus, were found at 10.47 plus or minus 0.02 Mev in F/sup 19/ and 16.17 plus or minus 0.05 Mev in O/sup 16/. The observed O/sup 16/( gamma ,n)O/sup 15/ threshold was in poor agreement with the known Q value. Two half-lives were measured: F/sup 16/ , 1.83 plus or minus 0.02 hours and In/sup 114m/, 49 plus or minus 1 days. (auth)
