Plots of the N/sub IV,V/ x-ray emission spectra of Gd, Tb, Dy and Ho are presented. Corrleation with the corresponding x-ray absorption spectra, bremsstrahlung spectrum and ionization thresholds of 4d electrons are made and interpretations in terms of d shell and electron transitions are discussed.
