Some results on correlations in particle production in pion--proton interactions at 40 GeV/c

The two-pion correlation function for inclusive pion-proton interactions at 40 GeV/c is studied. The value of the correlation length turns out to tbe 1.8 plus or minus 0.2. It is suggested that limiting behavior in pion-proton collisions is reached earlier than in proton-proton- collisions. (auth)
