Nuclear quadrupole resonance (in French)

Journal Article · · Ind. Chim. Belge, v. 39, no. 1, pp. 1-28
OSTI ID:4325352
After an explanation of the concept of nuclear quadrupole moment, formulas are derived for the calculation of quadrupole energy levels and hence the prediction of resonance frequencies. Furthermore, the main factors are analyzed which may influence the experimental spectra, particularly emphasizing the effect of magnetic field (Zeeman effect) as well as the effect of electronic environment (Townes-Dailey approximation). As an example, results of some interesting studies on the carbon-chlorine bond are recalled. (BE)
