Improvements to nuclear reactor core holders (in French)
A procedure is proposed for reducing the number of sequences and the duration of the manufucturing operattons and mounting time for reactor core holders, which simultaneously improves the reliability by eliminating the bolts, and in addttion conforms to the mechanical and geometrical requirements. The core holder proposed forms a self-supporting assembly (independent of the skirting support) consisting of a vertical vessel open at the top and bottom and vertical plates welded together and following the profile of the outer surfuce of the reactor core. The reactor vessel is stiffened on its outer surface by horizontal partitions which present an external periphery conforming with the inner surface of the skirting support. Each partition is provided along its outer edge with a flexible part iniended for contact with the inner surface of the skirting support. (FR)
