Translated from Prib. Tekn. Eksp.; 16: No. 4, 45-47(1973). The metrological characteristics (sensitivity, measurement range, etc.) of three methods for measuring neutron flux in the presence of gamma radiation are considered. The methods include measurement of the average detector ionization current using the compensation method, counting of the ionization-current pulses of the detector using the amplitude method, and measurement of the dispersion of the detector ionization current using the statistical method. A comparison is made of the methods with respect to sensitivity and measurement ranges for a stipulated error; numerical examples of the calculation are given. (auth)
