Administration of an in-vivo counting program

Conference ·
OSTI ID:4319019

From third Health Physics Society midyear topical symposium; Los Angeles, California, USA (29 Jan 1969). See CONF-690103P1. The administration of an in-vivo counting program as applied to insoluble uranium compounds with the lung as the critical organ is described. Criteria for restricting work activities and for removal from work restrictions as well as derivation of the lung burden and the weight of /sup 235/U equivalent to one lung burden are presented. Methods of in-vivo computation and sample calculations for both a single positive in-vivo result and a series of positive in-vivo results are included. (auth)
