Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4310349
The tissue distribution of several new radiopharmaceuticals prepared for use for scintiscanning for localization or for therapy of neoplasms was studied in laboratory animals or human patients. Data are presented on the tissue distribution of /sup 14/C-labeled dopamine and several dopamine analogs in rats; the uptake of /sup 131/I-19-iodocholesterol by adrenal aldosteromas in human patients; the uptake of /sup 14/C-dopamine by pheochromocytomas in human patients; the uptake of /sup 14/C- or /sup 131/I-labeled oleic acid, /sup 131/ Ilinoleic acid, and /sup 3/H-lecithin by the myocardium in rats and dogs; the uptake of /sup 14/C-estradiol by the adrenal cortex in dogs; the uptake of /sup 14/C-isoxazole (17- BETA -hydroxy-4,4' 17 alpha -trimethylandrost-5-ene(2,3,e)l) by the adrenal medulla in dogs; the uptake of /sup 14/C/sup 3/H-labeled streptozotoein by the pancreas islet cells in dogs and toadfish (Opsanus tau); the uptake of /sup 14/C-diphenylhydontoin by pancreas islet cells in the toadfish; and the uptake of bleomycin labeled with /sup 64/Cu, /sup 3/H, or /sup 99m/Tc by breast neoplasms in rats.
