Investigations were carried out for the determination of mutagenic effects of gamma rays and fast neutrons on four pea varities. Irradiation doses were: 1, 5, 10, 15 KR gamma rays (/sup 60/Co) and fast neutrons respectively 100, 500, 1000, 1500 Rads, with two intensities. Mutagenic effects were estimated on the basis of plant germination, survival, and development in M/sub 1/ and of chlorophyll and morphological mutations in M/sub 2/ and M/sub 3/. It was found that the mutagenic reactions of the varieties was different for both types of radiation. (auth)
