From third Health Physics Society midyear topical symposium; Los Angeles, California, USA (29 Jan 1969). See CONF-690103P1. The operational Health Physics program employed at the Argonne 12.5 GeV Zero Gradient Synchrotron (ANL-ZGS) is summarized. Measurement techniques, radiation areas and methods of protection, personnel and area monitoring methods and results, interlock systems, etc., are described. Descriptions of the time and spatial distributions of the induced radioactivity as well as the mixed neutron-gamma radiation fields are given. Emphasis is placed on typical results gained during the past two years of operation. (auth)
