POLARIZATION OF INTERNAL CONVERSION ELECTRONS EMITTED AFTER /cap beta/- DECAY (in Russian)

Journal Article · · Zhur. Eksptl'. i Teoret. Fiz.
OSTI ID:4287048
The correlation between the polarization conversion electrons and the direction of electrons emitted in the preceding BETA decay is considered. If the Coulomb field of the nucleus is neglected one finds in the case of a magnetic multipole that the polarization is longitudinal and is independent of the energy. In the case of an electric multipole longitudinal as well as transverse polarization exist which are dependent of the energy. (tr-auth)
