The correlation of the polarization of the conversion electrons and the velocity of the electrons emiited in a previous allowed beta -decay transition is considered. In the magnetic multipole case the polarization is longitudinal and energy independent if the influence of the nuclear Coulomb field is neglected. In the electric multipole case longitudinal as well as transversal polarization exist, both depending on the electron energy. (auth)
