The correlation of the polarization of conversion electrons and beta particles emitted in the decay of oriented nuclei was considered. The calculation was carried out by taking into account the electric field of the nucleus. Forformulas were derived for the angular distribution and longitudinal and transverse polarization of conversion electrons from any shell with an arbitrary multipolarity mixture. The numerical results for L/sub I/, L/sub II/, and L/sub III/ shells refer to Ml and E2 multipoles or their mixture and are represented in the form of tables of the b/sup R//sub kq/e coefficients. These coefficients also determlne the polarization of conversion electrons emitted after beta decay of nonoriented nuclei. The beta particle and conversion electron correlation can be employed to verify the invariance of beta interaction under time inversion. (auth)
