Data are tabulated on the advaniages and disadvantages of cobalt-60 as compared to cesium-137. Data on tissue dose and shielding requiremeats are also tabulated. The design of a telecobalt instrumeat is described. Clinical results since 1952 are summarized. (C.H.)
