OSTI ID:4272453
Results are reported from a study employing phosphorus-32 and paper chromatography to trace the metabolism of organophosphates in the intestinal mucosa of rats. The intestinal absorption of glucose was found to stimulate phosphorus metabolism not oniy in the intestinal mucosa but also in skeletal muscle, liver, and kidneys. Data are tabulated and discussed.
