ON THE Tl$sup 206$ LEVEL SCHEMES (in Russian)

The gamma transition multiplicities in Bi/sup 212/-- Tl/sup 208/ decay were determined on the basis of studies made of the radium--thorium precipitation spectrum of internal conversion electrons. The relative intensitles of alpha transitions, with consideration for the displaced angular momentum, were calculated in order to verify and correct the Tl/sup 208/ excltation levels. It is shown that consideration of the angalar momentum improves considerably the theoretical and experimental agreement. The Tl/sup 208/ decay levels are presented. Revels at 328, 473, 493, and 619 kev can be explained by the spallation of the d/sub 3/2/g/sub 9/2/, configuration. The spallation produces a quadruplet with spins 3/sup +/, 4/sup +/, 5/sup +/, and 6/sup +/. The values 3/ sup +/ and 6/sup+/, for the levels 493 and 619 kev are in good agreement with the configuration; however, for the levels with spins 4/sup +/ and 5/sup +/ the soequence is not yet clear.
