THE LEVEL STRUCTURE OF Dy$sup 16$$sup 0$

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4237868
Gamma rays in Dy/sup 160/ following beta decay of the 72 day Tb/sup 160/ were studied using coincidence and angular correlation methods. The relative intersity and coincidence measurements confirm the principal features of the decay scheme proposed by Nathan. Angular correlation measurements were made on six cascades. The spin and parity of the 0.087 Mev, 0.964 Mev, and 1.262 Mev levels were found to be 2 +, 2+, and 2-, respectively. The measurements favor spins of 4 and 3 for the 0.283 and I.359 Mev levels. These assignments are in agreement with previous assigmments by Ofer. The multipolarities of the main gamma transitions are given. (auth)
