Results are presented from an experimental program on the development on sodium pipe joints. Objectives of the program were to produce a commercially reproducible calandria tube-tube sheet joint capable of joining and sealing a calandria tune-tube sheet, to produce a commercially reproducible fuel-coolant tube closure, and to determine the suitability of a Marman coupling for a zirconium-steel fuel tube joint for a high temperature reactor coolant application.
