The authors studied the offspring of three generations of guinea pigs subjected to gamma-irradiation in doses of 225 and 450 r. Among the offspring of the first, second, and third generation the following developmental abnormalities were revealed: disturbance in the development of the skeleton, teeth, dwarfness, neoplasms, affection of the central nervous system, stillbirths, as well as a reduced viability.
