Scattering of electrons on nonspherical nuclei is treated in the Born approximation. Expressions for the elastic and inelastic scattering cross sections were derived in the general case of oriented nuclei possessing arbitrary deformations. The theory is compared with experiments on inelastic scattering of electrons by light nuclei. (auth)
