SINTERED FUEL ELEMENTS FOR NUCLEAR REACTORS (in German)

Journal Article · · Atompraxis (West Germany) Incorporated in Kerntechnik
OSTI ID:4203201
Molded forms prepared by the sintering methcd and used for fuel elements should consist of uranium-oxygen compounds with an atomic ratio U:O of 1-: 2.05 to 2.40 and could be formed porous if necessary. The fuel elements so prepared can then be inserted unclad in the reactor, and direct contact will be avoided by the coolant. (J.S.R.)
